As part of the President’s initiative through the ministry of lands and natural resources to restore the nations vegetation the green Ghana project was rolled out to ensure that trees are planted to make the project a reality. The ministry in collaboration with the forestry commission distributed tree plants to various institutions, organizations and metropolitan, municipal, and district assemblies(MMDA’s) nationwide to ensure that the project becomes a success. To ensure the President’s policy does not become an audio policy the Honorable D.C.E together with management and Staff of the Assembly led the Green Ghana Project and planted some trees around the Assembly and the district as whole.
