{"id":408,"date":"2017-10-05T17:14:12","date_gmt":"2017-10-05T17:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/ayensuano\/?page_id=408"},"modified":"2022-04-25T00:36:37","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T00:36:37","slug":"works","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ayensuanoda.gov.gh\/index.php\/works\/","title":{"rendered":"Works"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Department of Works of the Assembly is a merger of the Public works Department, Department of Feeder Roads and District Water &amp; Sanitation Units, Department of Rural Housing and the Works Unit of the Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>The Works Department;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate the implementation of policies on works and report to the Assembly, and provide advice on matters relating to Works in the Assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the construction, repair and maintenance of:<\/li>\n<li>Public roads including Feeder Roads.<\/li>\n<li>Drains along any streets in the major settlements within its jurisdiction.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage and facilitate maintenance of public buildings and facilities in the Assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Assist to build, equip, close and maintain markets and prohibit the erection of stores in places other than the markets.<\/li>\n<li>Assist to inspect projects undertaken by the District Assembly with the relevant departments of the Assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Advise the Assembly on the prohibition of digging of burrow pits and other evacuations in the sinking of wells or their closers.<\/li>\n<li>Assist to maintain public buildings made up of offices, residential accommodations and ancillary structures.<\/li>\n<li>Advise and encourage owners of building structures to\n<ul>\n<li>Remove dilapidated structures in any public place.<\/li>\n<li>Paint, distemper, white wash or colour wash the outside of any building forming part of the premises<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Tidy up the premises and remove any derelict vehicles or objects which constitute nuisance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical advice for the machinery and structural layout of building plans to facilitate escape from fire, rescue operation and fire management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Works of the Assembly is a merger of the Public works Department, Department of Feeder Roads and District Water &amp; Sanitation Units, Department of Rural Housing and the Works Unit of the Assembly.
