One of the key commitments made during this tour was the construction of a health facility to serve the people of Yakoko.
On 20th January 2026, Hon. The scope of the project includes the construction of a CHPS compound with an Out-Patient Department (OPD), consulting room, dispensary, and staff accommodation. The DCE assured the community of his commitment to ensuring the overall development of Yakoko, pledging to give his utmost support to see the project and other initiatives succeed.
The project, which has been awarded to DEECAL Company Limited, is expected to be completed within nine (9) months. The contractor also assured stakeholders of timely completion of the work.
The Chief of Yakoko, Barima Okata Amoa I, expressed his joy and appreciation for the project, noting that the CHPS compound would significantly improve healthcare delivery in the community.
